Father’s Plan to Abduct Children from Mother in Illinois, Fly Them Across U.S.-Mexico Border Thwarted – Learn About First Steps Chicago Parents Can Take When Facing the Abduction of Their Children by Their Non-Custodial Parent

A father’s foiled plan to have a woman kidnap his biological children and to bring them over the United States-Mexico border to live with him has some Chicago parents on edge, wondering what they can do if their ex or the non-custodial parent of their children attempts to take their children away. According to local news reports, last week on Thursday, August 14, a woman was apprehended by police at Chicago’s Midway Airport while she was allegedly attempting to kidnap two children to bring them to their father who lives in Mexico. The incident first reportedly started at a home in Aurora Illinois, located in the 500 block of Rosewood Avenue. At that home, at around 3:30 p.m. on that Thursday, an 11-year-old child and a 13-year old child were abducted by the woman, after she claimed that “she needed to take the two children out of the state on their mother’s behalf and left with both kids.” Authorities, however, “eventually learned that the mother never said anyone could take her children.” The woman and the two children were located at the airport, and the woman, identified as a 47-year-old from Fort Worth, Texas, was arrested. The woman was reported to be a “relative of one of the children’s father.” Police ultimately learned that “The father, who doesn’t have custody, paid Sanchez to bring the children to him in Mexico through the Texas border…The children weren’t harmed, according to police, and will remain with family.” The woman who allegedly attempted to kidnap the two children was charged with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of child abduction, and two counts of unlawful restraint. The case is ongoing and it remains to be seen if there will be any conviction on the charges, or any further action in the case.
Parental Child Abductions in Chicago – A Frightening and Dangerous Reality
The truth of the matter, as demonstrated by the recent case involving the two children who were allegedly nearly abducted due to the kidnapping plans made by their father, even if a parent is the biological parent of a child, they can still be arrested and charged with child abduction, kidnapping, and other charges if they attempt to skirt a child custody order and abscond with their kids. When a non-custodial parent takes a child overseas, the risks that the child might not be seen again increase dramatically. As such, if your child has been taken overseas by their non-custodial parent, or you suspect that they might be kidnapped, it is important to act fast.
